ST LUKE'S PROVIDES A RANGE OF SERVICES FROM OUR FAMILY FRIENDLY FACILITIES AT 1 VICTORIA STREET KYNETON.

 

Disability Support Services

This service provides flexible support to people with an identified disability, ie intellectual, sensory, physical or acquired brain injury.  Support is tailored to meet individual's needs and goals, skills to live independently and actively in the community.

Recovery Focused Mental Health Services

Recovery focused services work with people to develop their full potential to achieve their goals and actively participate as citizens in their community.  Programs include individual and group support, activities and socialising, housing related rehabilitation and support for adults with mental health issues.  Respite for carers of those with a mental illness is also available.  Specialist programs for woman with depression and anxiety, and young people with a mental illness are periodically available.

Children and Families

Families are important and we know that all parents want their children to have a fair go, but raising children is not always easy.  When things are difficult and families can get help, things can be better.  St Luke's might be able to assist.  We provide family and individual support, foster care placements for 0-12 year old children and advocacy while the family and St Luke's staff work together towards finding solutions to family difficulties.

Pre-School Field Worker

The Pre-School Field Worker offers support to children with additional needs in state funded pre-schools.  The Pre-School Field Worker works closely with early childhood staff and families to provide these children with additional needs.  The Pre-School Field Worker spends time with children at pre-school and at home observing and assessing their strengths and needs.  THe Pre-School Field Worker is qualified in Early Childhood Education and is experienced in working in Early Childhood Centres.

Financial Counselling

A Service providing free confidential information and support, particularly in relation to debt issues.  A financial counsellor can: explain options if you cannot pay debts, assist you to negotiate with creditors, inform you of government entitlements and provide information on bankruptcy.  Service is provided from St Luke's offices at Bendigo, Castlemaine, Kyneton, Maryborough and Echuca.

St Luke's also provides a support service to gamblers and their families who are in financial difficulty.

Other St Luke's services available include Permanent Care and Adoption, Community Capacity Building, Training, Intensive Youth Case Management.
