Mental Health support for individuals in the Bendigo area and surrounding districts 

Recovery focused mental health services 

Recovery focused services work with people to develop their full potential to achieve their goals and actively participate as citizens in their community. Programs include individual and group support, activities and socialising, homelessness and housing related rehabilitation and support for adults with mental health issues. Respite for carers of those with a mental illness is also available. Specialist programs include; post natal depression support (SEEDS of Recovery), support for young people experiencing mental illness including recreational opportunities and groups for woman with depression and anxiety which are periodically available. 

Planned respite care

Planned respite care offers adults aged 18-65 living with a mental illness and their carers flexible respite in a form that best suits their needs. The service operates through St Luke’s and is affiliated with Mallee Family Care.

Disability support services
 
This service provides flexible support to people with an identified disability—intellectual, sensory, physical or acquired brain injury. Support is tailored to meet individual needs and goals, and to develop skills to live independently and actively in the community.
 
Financial Counselling
 
This service provides free, confidential information and support, particularly in relation to debt issues.
 
Gambler’s Help Counselling
 
This service offers a range of strategies to assist people deal with gambling issues. They include free and confidential therapeutic and financial counselling and support to individuals and their families in relation to problem gambling.
 
No Interest Loans Scheme (NILS)
 
The NILS Regional Community Development Worker liaises with local communities to assist community organisations to start up their own NILS programs.
 
Community Capacity Building
 
St Luke's works alongside communities supporting communities to achieve their dreams and aspirations. This approach recognises the significance of the social, environmental and economic environment in the wellbeing of all community members. 

Communities for Children
 
Communities for Children works alongside children 0 to 5, their families and service providers to increase opportunities that enable children to have happier, healthier and more resilient lives. Working across the broad domains of health, early learning and development and support for families and parents.
 
Centre for Community
 
The Centre for Community Building is committed to providing support for people working alongside Communities. People who are dedicated to supporting communities achieve their aspirations for change and well being.
