CARERS REQUIRED (Volunteer)
Adolescent Community Placement Program

Do you want to return something back to the community? Here is your chance to work with an organisation that makes a difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people in our community.

St Luke’s recruits people to provide a variety of care options for children and young people of all ages. On this occasion we are specifically looking for adolescent carers.

Carers would need to:

·         Undergo an assessment process, inclusive of training
·         Possess a strong capacity to provide care for young people
·         Demonstrate an ability to work as part of a team with St Luke’s, the Department of Human Services, various professionals, young people  and at times their  families
·         Be willing to undergo a range of checks such as Police, Working with Children, Home Environment etc.

Providing stability, security and a safe physical and emotional environment is an extraordinary means to making a difference, providing hope and a future for a young person.

Financial reimbursement is provided fortnightly to recompense  costs of maintaining the daily needs of an extra young person in your home.

To strengthen the process, a 24 hour a day support mechanism is provided  by the  St Luke’s after hour’s service.
