4.2.7 Providing feedback to referrers
When referrals are classified as “general” (complex & other) family service referrals, feedback will be provided to referrers only in situations  when the family consents.
The service will actively encourage families to consent to this sharing of information. The service prefers to provide this feedback to referrers whilst in the company of the family, or via a letter that is also provided to the family.
When referrals are classified as “significant wellbeing” referrals, feedback will be provided to professional referrers on the outcome of our contact with families.
  • This feedback will relate to the families engagement with the service. This feedback may not be offered if the SWB status is only applied at the beginning of the request for service, due to the referrer wanting their identity protected (e.g.. family is willing to engage with service at initial contact)
Where referrers are unwilling to provide their names, no feedback can be provided.
