7.6 Community Based Child Protection Worker - Role at Child FIRST/Family Services Allocations meetings
The Community Based Child Protection Worker will attend the weekly Child FIRST/Family Services allocation meetings for the purpose of:
  • Clarifying aspects of the Child Protection referral and family history as required.
  • Contribute to decisions around assessment of vulnerability, risk and decisions around priority of service response.
  • To be informed of the allocated Family Services agency or agency responsible for holding the case referred by Child Protection.
  • In consultation with Child FIRST/Family Services discuss/determine the appropriateness of CBCPW conducting a joint initial meeting with the family to assist engagement.
