At the conclusion of
the Request for Service process a clear plan is developed with each
family in relation to requested services and further information is
provided on the process that will follow.
This plan includes
expected timelines for allocation and the next contact from Child
FIRST, who may provide further phone support or an immediate
“active holding” service role.
This plan is
documented and agreed actions are recorded on IRIS. A copy of
the plan is provided directly to the family.
The purpose of this
plan is to assist families to take the needed immediate steps to
ensure the safety and wellbeing of their children and to assist
families to develop short term plans whilst awaiting an allocated
role.
A letter is also
sent to the referrer (when relevant and where family consents to
this) to confirm the plans/process agreed to, together with a
summary of the next steps that will occur in allocating the family
to a local family service provider.
