Jack Squire Appointed March 2005 After 25 years as a partner in an Echuca legal practice, Jack was offered a part-time lecturing role at La Trobe University in Bendigo in 1992. Seeing it as a lead into retirement he accepted. Sixteen years later he is still working just as hard, now with Bendigo Health. Believing that people who are fortunate enough to be able to make a contribution to their community should do so, Jack also holds trustee positions with the Roy Ogden Foundation and Bendigo Cemeteries Trust. Dr Louise Harvey Appointed December 2008 Louise has been the CEO of Bendigo Regional Institute of TAFE since 2004, following 15 years in public health administration in Queensland and some 10 years as an academic in Australian and New Zealand universities. Tenacious almost to a fault, Louise has always sought to make a difference to society, particularly the circumstances of those less fortunate than herself. The St Luke’s Board provides an opportunity to contribute something different from her role in vocational education. Outside her public life, she likes to retreat to her rural property and garden, and spend time at home with her husband and dog

The St Lukes Patrons
St Luke’s enjoys the patronage of two distinguished members of the Bendigo community.
Rob Hunt is the Managing Director of the Bendigo and Adelaide Bank and the driving force behind a range of community-enabling initiatives.
Bruce Reid is a past state and federal parliamentarian, business owner, and a previous president of St Luke’s board.
Message from Rob Hunt, AM
Dear Friends
Being generous enough to remember St Luke's in your Will would ensure that the people in our community who need some assistance - people who may need the security of a home, who want to live in a family environment where love and support is normal, and who seek access to opportunities that lead to productive and worthwhile life choices - are given a fair go.
If you choose to make this very important decision, you will be making a very real contribution - not only to the children and families with whom St Luke's works, but to our community as a whole. As we all know, the health and well being of all individuals is important in building a safe, vibrant and growing community.
Please consider supporting the work of St Luke's and the valuable contribution it makes to our community.
We need to plan today for a strong future.

Rob Hunt
Message from Bruce Reid Parliamentary experience in Victoria and Canberra helped me recognise the worth of each person and realise that the strengths and resources of families, groups and organisations must also be acknowledged.
Life has difficult times for many people. St Luke’s believes in helping people help themselves, and that all people deserve a fair go and the chance to make positive changes in their lives. That attitude is why I am proud to have been associated with St Luke’s as a board member and now patron.
St Luke’s well trained caring staff can help make those positive changes so people can find and develop their own strengths, enabling them to become valued members of their community.
That is what St Luke’s Anglicare is here for: to work with you in the community, where we can to help you.

Bruce Reid
